wreds nest!-The Truth!
I have a story for you if you are interested in the truth,starting with the lies of columbus the murderer.
This was our home for thousands of years before the Europeans came here,Turtle Island has always been our home given to us by our Creator.
We were never lost Columbus was so how could he discover anything?It is past time for the lies to stop,and the true story of my people told.When the Europeans invaded our country the genocidal holocost began,worse by far than the one this very country fought against and so protested in Germany because it continues to this very day.
The Declaration of Independence that Americans are so proud of was given by the Iroquois(Indians)Nations as was the Constitution.So why after all this time are the lies still taught and forced down the throats of all children?The Native American children are forced to learn these lies and are punished if they object and say that is a lie!
Indians are still depicted as ignorant savages,or Tonto types,they are still villified for fighting for their homes and families during the "founding"of this country.While criminals like Custer and Andrew Jackson are praised and made into Heros,and true Heros like Sitting Bull and Geronimo who fought with honor for their homelands and people against all odds,are seen as criminals?
How can this be? A country who goes to war for downtrodden people the world over treats the First Peoples of this land so badly? Why are these lies still taught in the schools,why is the REAL truth not told? Our people were doing the same thing that is today called "Homeland Security" fighting invaders of our country,terrorists who stold and murderedinnocent people for lands and gold.
It is no wonder the suicide rate for Native American teens tops the National Average.It is no wonder they turn to drink and drugs,there seems to be no hope of things being better. They and their families have to worry that even if they are clean of drugs and alcohol that they will be murdered in the jails by "police"they were taught were there to protect them,false charges brought against them.
Our children were stolen from their families from the begining in a try at forced assimulation,forcing by cruel beatings,rape,being treated like slaves by those "supposed"to be running "Christian"schools to take away their language,their identity to their peoples.
The Social Services takes our children still today for things other people do every day,and yet we see the children of white drug addicts and alcoholics given right back to them to be raised "right"by family. We are still forced to go to churches,share in a religion that even those who say they are this religion do not do the things they preach.
Another thing we do NOT all look the same,we do not look like T.V. Indians,(what a joke),who were mostly whites in make-up trying to be what they "thought"we should look like. We come in every shade of color,every hair color,every eye color,and we did long before the Europeans came to our country.
It is beyond time our side was told,there is no longer a language barrier,since most of two generations of children were stolen and forced to learn a foriegn language,we are not English after all and this is not England.Though our children were forced into boarding schools,denied every part of their heritage,beaten for speaking their own language,and kept from their families,taught to be ashamed of their being Natives.
It is time the truth was told,and time for changes to be made,it is time for the lies to stop being taught in our schools,it is time our children were taught their own ways.The ways of our ancestors were best for us,they sought peace,unity,and caring for Mother Earth. It is time for healing,rebuilding,and sharing!

Siyo Chippy it is a sad thing to me that true history of our peoples is not taught as it should be.If it were then those who came would not think themselves better,or justified in the terroristic way this country was taken from the true owners. They would understand that now things can not be changed that they are here,but they can be changed to make things right to those who were so badly treated by their ancestors.They would not be thinking they have a right to be here but rather be thankful they are.Without the help of the First Peoples,the trust and sharing the ones who came here first would have died right away.It was ugly greed,lies,and hatred that destroyed a once peaceful,CIVILIZEd,country and made it whjat it is today!
